Is DWGConvert free?
Yes. There is no login, no paywall, and no forced signup to convert a single file.
Do you rename the file extension instead of actually converting it?
No. Every conversion goes through a real conversion engine (CloudConvert). We consider extension-renaming a form of fabrication and it is explicitly forbidden in how this site is built.
How long do you keep my uploaded file?
Uploaded and converted files are retained for 24 hours, then deleted. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
Will my conversion preserve every layer and font?
Not necessarily — that depends on the specific conversion path and your specific DWG file. Each tool page states what that conversion is known to preserve, partially preserve, or not preserve, and the result for your file will say so as well.
Does my file get sent to a third party?
Yes — your file is transmitted to CloudConvert, a third-party conversion API, to perform the actual conversion. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
