The service

DWGConvert provides free DWG conversion tools, plus a browser-only utility to extract DWG files from a ZIP archive. You upload a file, choose conversion settings, and receive a converted file back. There is no account, no paywall, and no login required to use any tool on this site.

No warranty on conversion accuracy

DWG is a proprietary, versioned CAD format. No conversion engine — including the one this site uses — perfectly preserves every layer, font, external reference, or CAD object across every DWG version. We do not warrant that any conversion will be complete, accurate, or fit for a particular purpose. Each conversion tool states, in its result, what it is known to preserve, partially preserve, or not preserve for that conversion path — review that statement before relying on the output for anything important.

Acceptable use

Don't upload a file you don't have the right to convert, and don't use this service to attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to our systems or the third-party services we rely on.

File retention

See our Privacy Policy for exactly how long uploaded and converted files are kept.

No liability for lost or degraded data

We do not accept liability for any loss, corruption, or inaccuracy in a converted file, or for any consequence of relying on one. Keep your original DWG file — this service does not modify or delete your original.

Changes to the service

We may add, change, or remove tools as the underlying conversion engine's capabilities change. We will not claim a capability the engine does not genuinely support.
