Privacy Policy

Current status

DWGConvert is under active development. As of this writing, the site does not yet have a live conversion engine connected, and no uploaded files are processed or stored in production. This policy describes how the service is designed to handle files once the live engine is connected — the retention period and third-party disclosure below match the actual implementation in the codebase, not a marketing estimate.

What we collect

When you use a conversion tool, we receive the file you upload and the conversion settings you choose. We do not require an account, an email address, or any other personal information to convert a file.

How long we keep your file

Uploaded files and their converted output are retained for 24 hours after the job is created, then deleted. We do not keep your files longer than that for any reason, and we do not use them to improve any product or model.

Third-party processing

DWGConvert uses CloudConvert, a third-party conversion API, to perform the actual file conversion. This means your uploaded file is transmitted to CloudConvert's servers to be converted. We do not control CloudConvert's own retention practices beyond the request we make of their API; if you have concerns about this, review CloudConvert's own privacy policy before uploading a sensitive file.

The ZIP extraction tool is different

The extract DWG files from ZIP tool does not send your file anywhere — it runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded to us or to CloudConvert for that tool specifically.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share your files with anyone other than the conversion processor named above.
• We don't require login or track you across sessions to use a converter.
• We don't use third-party analytics, ad trackers, or tag managers on this site.
