Is DWGConvert free?
Yes. There is no login, no paywall, and no forced signup to convert a single file.
Do you rename the file extension instead of actually converting it?
No. Every conversion goes through a real self-hosted LibreDWG and LibreCAD pipeline. We consider extension-renaming a form of fabrication and explicitly forbid it.
How long do you keep my uploaded file?
Files are held only in an isolated temporary directory during conversion and deleted when the request finishes. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
Will my conversion preserve every layer and font?
Not necessarily — that depends on the specific conversion path and your specific DWG file. Each tool page states what that conversion is known to preserve, partially preserve, or not preserve, and the result for your file will say so as well.
Does my file get sent to a third party?
No metered conversion API receives it. Your file is sent to DWGConvert’s self-hosted conversion service and deleted from its temporary workspace after the request.
Why might the tool say the conversion engine is unavailable?
The self-hosted conversion container may be offline, restarting, or at capacity. We show the real service state rather than faking a successful conversion.
